I am Mom to three awesome children, and wife to one awesome man. I spend my days living with them in freedom and joy. I am passionate about Unschooling, respectful and mindful parenting, and living in partnership with my children. I am happiest when I am with my family, and love hanging out with our tribe.This blog started as a way for me to record memories. Over the years it has become much more. Through this blog I have made many friends and become a member of one of the most awesome groups of people around. I could not have imagined the connections I have made.
I married my high school sweetheart in 1998 and am thankful every single day that I did. When he is not working (in a public school ~ go figure), Drew can usually be found shooting bows and arrows, wrestling, making stuff with wood, or being owned in an epic sword battle… all with his kids. Someday he hopes to convince me to go earn the money so he can stay home and have all the fun.
When I had my first child, I wasn't aware of the power of my inner voice, and I didn't do a good job listening to it. All that changed as she grew and taught me about who I wanted to be for her.
She has never stopped teaching me how to be the best Mom I can be. At 14, Drue is a creative, passionate, loyal, funny, and interesting individual. She has no idea how cool she is. I dig her.
Declan, at 12, is my snuggle bud. He is kind, sensitive, and has smelly feet. He loves minecraft, all things nature, and legos. In a crowd, he can often be found caring for a smaller child. Declan rocks my world.
Maeve is 9. (Wow). She is funny, strong, and feisty. She loves playing with small figures and can get lost in her own little world for hours at a time.She loves playing with her friends and would love it if they could live with us forever :) Maeve is awesome.
Together we love the beach, camping, mythology, gardening, jumping on trampolines, shooting arrows, playing with friends, legos, Harry Potter, epic battles, running with sticks, and being together...
